APPEAL OF THE DIRECTOR OF ENVIRONMENT ON INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR THE PRESERVATION OF THE OZONE LAYER -2019.
International Day for the preservation of Ozone Layer is celebrated on 16th of September every year to spread awareness and bring attention to the depletion of the ozone layer. The aim to observe this day as an international occasion is to generate a awareness about the ozone layer, On this day through the medium of schools, colleges, organizations ,NGOs and people connect to one another share their ideas and educates the masses about the importance of environment and the significant means to protect it.
Environment is a very detailed term, it comprises of everything. The atmosphere above us comprises of different layers and the one called stratosphere is also called the Ozone Layer. Due to a lot of commotion in today’s environment, a lot of development and modernization in our country has increased. The impact has been on the health and integrity of our organic resources such as soil, land, forests, water. Suggestions for celebrating International Day of Preservation of the Ozone Layer in the state include;
- On the World Ozone day, People should practice extensive cultivation of trees and help in minimizing the sources of substances that contribute to ozone depletion.
- People should pledge to use only organic products and cut down the usage of the products that cause the depletion of the ozone layer.
- People should avoid buying aerosols products which contain materials having chlorofluorocarbons.
- It emphasize should be given on limiting the vehicle driving, there should be higher usage of eco-friendly products,
- People should be ban on pesticides which contribute to ozone depleting, strict norms and conditions should be regulated on least use of chemicals.
On this day I request to take responsibility to celebrated by organizing seminars, speeches, and exhibitions etc. World Ozone Day provides a great platform among the people of the world to make them aware that it’s high time and we must all put our best of efforts to preserve the ozone layer.
