One day Environmental awareness programme was celebrated in Sri Venkateswara Matriculation Higher secondary school, Chennai. Dr. H.Malleshappa, I.F.S., Director, Department of Environment, Government of Tamil Nadu inaugurated the one day Environmental awareness programme on “Adopt A Tree” and 38 Trees planted in the school campus. He also explained about environment management aspects and adopt a tree for creating a green initiative among the school student’s and also stressed the students has to take care on the environment in everyday life. The Principal, Sri Venkateswara Matriculation Higher secondary school, Thiru G.Thangaraj, District Coordinator, National Green Corps Chennai east and ENVIS staff participated in this awareness programme.
